Garage door keypad replacement.
Same-day Palm Beach County dispatch. Written warranty. Eric answers.
Wireless keypads (the keypad mounted outside the garage door for code-entry access) are common on modern garage door openers. They let you open the garage without a remote — useful for kids coming home from school, contractors, or family members without their phone.
Most keypad failures in PBC are sun-exposure related — direct Florida sun degrades the rubber buttons within 5-8 years. The buttons stop responding consistently and you have to press harder and harder until they fail completely. Replacement is straightforward.
Modern keypads (post-2011) use Security+ 2.0 encryption and pair to specific opener models. We carry the standard LiftMaster, Chamberlain, and Genie replacements on every truck. Pre-2011 keypads may not be compatible with newer openers — we can confirm compatibility before recommending.

Common questions.
Why do garage keypads fail so often in Florida?
Direct sun exposure degrades the rubber button membrane within 5-8 years. Heat also stresses the internal electronics. Keypads in covered locations (under an overhang) last 10+ years; exposed ones fail much sooner.
Can I use any keypad with my opener?
Mostly. Modern keypads use Security+ 2.0 encryption and pair to specific opener brand families (LiftMaster/Chamberlain are compatible; Genie is separate). We bring a compatible model on the service call.
How do I change my garage door keypad code?
Most LiftMaster/Chamberlain keypads: press the PIN button, enter your old code, then enter a new 4-digit code. Refer to your specific model's manual or call us — we walk you through it for free.
Can I add a keypad if my garage doesn't have one?
Yes, as long as the opener supports it. Most modern LiftMaster, Chamberlain, and Genie openers have keypad-add capability. Adding a keypad: $145-$185 installed.
